General Conditions of use

'Scribble & Ink' is the trading name of Inkost Ltd whose registered address is Unit 7, Signal Buildings, Brunel Road, Newton Abbot, Devon, TQ12 4FD The laws of the UK govern any contract between us.

Orders

When an order is placed, we will issue you with an acknowledgement. This is a record of your offer to purchase an item from us at a certain price but this does not constitute acceptance of your order. After the order is placed, 'Scribble & Inlk' reserves the right to accept, cancel, refuse or limit the order. This could be due to the unavailability of a product or for any other reason. The total liability of 'Scribble & Ink' is limited to the price paid for the item. If you wish to cancel or reject your order, you must notify us within 7 days of receiving the goods. If this is the case, we will not impose any penalties but the goods must be returned with their original packaging unopened. Goods must be returned at your own cost and risk and must be received in their original condition as they were delivered to you. Your payment will be refunded as soon as possible after the goods are returned to us.

Price

Our prices are checked regularly to ensure we remain competitive and to take market forces into consideration and we try to ensure the price displayed on the website is accurate at all times. Very occasionally however, errors may occur. If we do discover an error, we will inform you of the correct price by email as soon as possible to see if you wish to continue with the order at the amended price or to give you the opportunity to cancel your order if you do not wish to pay the correct price. If you cancel after having already paid for the goods, we will issue you with a full refund. We reserve the right to change prices without notice.

Credit Terms Payment terms are strictly 30 days end of month – all invoices must be settled by the end of the month following the date of the invoice. Payments must be made in British Pounds unless otherwise agreed in writing. If you do not pay within 30 days as set out above we will charge interest on any sums overdue on the invoice and/or statement. Interest will be charged at 8% above the Bank of England base rate from the date payment is due until payment is received. These charges are made in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 and the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations. Further, under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 we will also claim late payment charges of between £40 and £100.00 per invoice. If payment is not received and the matter is forwarded to our solicitors for dealing, further recoverable charges will be incurred under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations 2013 Back Orders

Should the item you require not be available from stock we are happy to back order it for you, this is normally only one or two days. We will always keep you informed by phone or email as soon as it arrives in our warehouse. If you would rather not wait or need the product in a hurry, the order can be cancelled at any time prior to dispatch.

Return Policy

Very occasionally, it may be necessary for you to return products to us for example if it is faulty or if it has been damaged in transit. In these circumstances, 'Scribble & Ink' must be contacted for a valid returns number prior to the product being shipped back to us. The returns number must accompany the items being sent back. If any goods are returned to us without a valid number, they will not be accepted. All products that are returned must be in their original packaging.

Damaged Goods in Transit

'Scribble & Ink' has a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee policy on all its products which all come with a full manufacturer’s warrantee. In the unlikely event you do receive a product that has been damaged in transit, Inkost must be informed within 48 hours and a returns number will then be issued. We will then arrange for the item to be collected and a replacement will be dispatched to you. We will pay for the postage for the item to be returned to us. All items that are returned must be in their original packaging. Goods returned without a valid returns number will be refused.

Faulty or Defective Goods

If a product develops a defect within its warrantee period, we will pay for the postage for the item to be returned to us and a replacement will be issued or a refund made. In the very unlikely event of a printer cartridge causing problems with you printer, 'Scribble & Ink' guarantees to resolve any issues. Accidental damage, neglect or misuse is not an acceptable reason for return. 'Scribble & Ink' must be contacted first for a valid returns number prior to the product being shipped back to us. The returns number must accompany the items sent back and products that are returned must be in their original packaging. We do not guarantee that printer cartridges bought from this website will be compatible with your printer and accepts no liability for any loss of data or corruption which may be caused as a result of using a cartridge bought from this website.

Wrongly Ordered Goods

If an item has been ordered by mistake, it can be exchanged within 30 days of purchase. 'Scribble & Ink' must be notified and a returns number obtained before the item is returned. Goods must be returned unopened and with the manufacturer’s seal intact. Postage will be paid by the customer and an exchange or credit note will be issued.

100% Guarantee

All of our products come with a full manufacturers’ warrantee and 100 percent guarantee of satisfaction. If in the unlikely event you are unhappy with any of our products they can be returned for a full refund. Goods must be returned unopened. Before returning any goods, 'Scribble & Ink' must be contacted for a valid returns number. Any goods returned without such a number will not be accepted. Changes We reserve the right to make changes to this site including changes to these terms and conditions at any time without notice. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

Complaints

Should you have a complaint against 'Scribble & Ink', please contact us giving details of your complaint and any relevant information. We will endeavour to respond to any complaint within five working days and to resolve any issues as soon as possible. Any disputes not resolved by our normal complaints procedure will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales under English law.

Brand Names

Any brand names or product names which are used in this website relate to products manufactured by third parties and owned by these respective parties. 'Scribble & Ink' does not give any permission for these brand names to be used by anyone else and any such use could represent an infringement of the manufacturers’ rights. Any other information and content on this site are copyright to 'Scribble & Ink' and must not be used by a third party without our consent. Information must not be reproduced, published or exploited for commercial gains.

Privacy Protection

'Scribble & Ink' is committed to protection your privacy. Any information gathered as part of the ordering process is used in strict adherence to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and for the purposes of dispatching your order. The information we do collect includes your name, address, phone number and email address. We will never collect sensitive information about you and you can at any time request to see the information we do hold on you by emailing us. If there are any inaccuracies, we will delete or correct the information promptly. If you do have any further queries about our privacy policy, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
